GhostWire ColorPicker script description:

Publisher review:
GhostWire ColorPicker allows you to create color selection UI controls that closely resembles those commonly used in applications. This Flash component allows you to create color selection UI controls that closely resembles those commonly used in applications. The ColorPicker component is used to indicate the current color for a particular setting and when clicked, displays a popup palette (showing the selection of colors available), allowing the application end-user to select a color.

Features

Customizable PaletteThe selection of colors available in the popup palette is fully customizable. The default palette is as shown in the example above. If your application requires a ColorPicker instance with a different palette, you can easily do so by setting the 'palette' property of the instance. You can also remove the InputField in the popup, preventing your users from entering hex color values manually. This effectively allows you to limit the end-users to a fixed selection of colors.

In addition, you can also adjust the number of selectable colors per row, size of the color options, etc. (refer to Configurations).

Auto-PlacementAs long as the Stage has been set to align to "LT" (left-top corner is anchored as 0,0), the ColorPicker's popup palette will place itself at appropriate positions depending on space availability (see ColorPicker at the right-hand corner in the example above).

Snap to PixelThe component snaps to pixel when published, ensuring that it looks crisp and sharp when the movie plays. Usually to achieve this, you need to ensure that you place your movieclips at integer coordinates (no decimal place) during authoring time. This is not necessary with GhostWire components, which will automatically snap to pixel when published. For example, if the component was placed at x coordinate 20.2, when published it will be placed at x coordinate 20.0 instead. In addition, the component also resizes itself to integer widths and heights.
